Reviews Overview

Most Liked

Massaya Restaurant shines with its delicious mezze selection, and diners rave about the hummus and mixed grills. The grilled meats are generous and tender, perfectly seasoned without overpowering flavors. Regulars love the fresh tabbouleh, a refreshing complement to the rich dishes. Many guests also appreciate how clean and well-maintained the restaurant is, enhancing the overall dining experience. The friendly and professional staff provide top-notch service; it's evident they strive to make each visit enjoyable. Customizable options cater to various dietary needs, making everyone feel welcome. And who can resist the sweet indulgence of homemade baklava or creamy ice cream for dessert?

Most Disliked

While most reviews are positive, some guests express concerns about the wine selection. Although it offers local Lebanese wines, not all taste preferences may find a favorite among them. Timing can also be an issue, with peak hours during dinner often leading to busy, packed seating. This might result in a longer wait time for food. It’s worth noting that it can feel crowded, especially on Saturday evenings, so planning strategically can help. Also, while the atmosphere is casual, some diners might prefer a more upscale experience, but Massaya focuses on approachable, friendly service rather than fine dining elegance.

By far the best Lebanese food that I have ever had and this includes some of the best Lebanese restaurants in Jordan. I opted for the grilled meat, a very generous portion of the most tender grilled meat. Unlike most other Lebanese restaurants, the grilled meat wasn’t smothered in oil and without any overpowering seasoning. The moutabel is also delicious, delicate flavours amplified with just the right amount of olive oil. Final touch, a very refreshing tabbouleh. Lovely staff to top it off, truly accommodating with my dietary requirements.

Amazing food. I got the mixed vegetable grill and it tasted amazing, lovely garlic dip, fries and the veggies were so flavourful. Everyone at my table loved everything they ordered. The service is also great, servers are smiling and friendly. Keep it up and thanks for the great time!

Had my first visit here today, to try the lunchtime menu and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was served by Bishara who was so friendly and welcoming. I ordered the Sea Breem which was cooked to perfection 👌🏿 as was the Basmati rice. The portion was adequate and tasted so fresh and looked so colourful in presentation. I had no idea the Lebanese produce their own wine, so I tried a glass of white. I can't say it will be a favourite but it was reasonably priced. I look forward to my next visit ☺️

We traveled from Amsterdam and our first stop was at Oxford. We were starving and saw that this restaurant had great reviews so we decided to eat here. Boy it didn’t disappoint! The food was incredible! Some of the tastiest food we have had. What I really appreciated was how clean the restaurant was. The glasses were sparkling clean. The person managing the restaurant was extremely friendly and we had a lovely chat with him and even asked him to open a place in the Netherlands so we could be regulars haha. Absolutely recommend this if you are visiting Oxford! :)

I visited on a whim with a couple of friends when were we staying a short walk away. We had never tried Lebanese food before but it was delicious. We were warmly welcomed, enjoyed nine really tasty and satisfying meze dishes, and were given a complimentary dessert to share. Good food, good service and good prices. Three happy customers 😀
